These days, a great number of people are preparing for one of the most important festivals in our country which is called the Spring Festival.

I am from Sichuan, china. In my hometown, we have the custom that eating dumplings during the Spring Festival. Although I have had many Spring Festivals, every time we have to eat dumplings during the festival. Most of us will buy the dumplings and will not boil them until the Spring Festival morning. I have seen many times that my mother boil the dumplings and the way to make it is not so difficult. We can not only boil them, but also we can fry them. When we go to the restaurant, we can see the different kinds of dumplings ranging from boiled dumplings to fried dumplings in the Chinese food menu. If you want to eat dumplings which were boiled, you can bring large pot of water to boil, and then add enough dumplings to cover the base of the pot, when it comes to a boil, they are ready to serve. Typically they are eaten with a sauce and vinegar, or just plain vinegar. For more flavors, add a little sesame oil, or chili pepper as you like. If you want to eat fried dumplings, you can fry them after they have been boiled. Though they are made in different way, both of them are delicious.
Eating dumplings is one of our traditions and it will keep for a long period of time.
